Specialised trucks (Most preferred option)

This option in a very cost effective method of transporting all sizes of plants.

Robex is our primary transport company, with trucks leaving twice weekly to most South Island destinations.

For North Island deliveries, we use Headford Freighters, who also specialise in plant transportation.

Plants are billed on a per unit basis and there is a minimum charge for small deliveries.

Pallets

Peter Baker Transport has a daily pickup schedule and will deliver to all locations within New Zealand in 1 – 3 days. This is a good option for transporting small to medium sized plants and up to 72 x PB8 grade plants can be packed onto a large pallet.

We apply a minimal packing charge to cover pallets, pallet wrap and wrapping time.

Pallets are charged out on a cubic metre rate, with a minimum charge for North Island and South Island deliveries.

Couriered Boxes

Plants can be sent out in boxes using Fastways couriers. This service is only useful for our smaller grade of plants with a maximum of 6 x PB6.5 grade plants per box.

Cartons are charged out at cost. Rural deliveries incur a surcharge.

If there is a problem with the consignment please advise the driver and note concerns on the con note. Do not sign the consignment note unless you have the correct number of plants, and are happy with them. If you do not have time to check the consignment as it comes off the truck, please not that on the con note. If there is a problem, please ring the freighting firm, then ring or fax us. We will endeavour to solve the problem asap. (I know this sounds familiar, but it is amazing how often we are not notified about a problem until we see a wee note on the payment slip, at least 6 weeks after the event!!)

Freight prices are changing all the time and we endeavour to get the best price freight deal for you – please feel free to arrange your own transport if you have better options.
